MEMBERSHIP POLICY

• Membership Refunds: All memberships are non-refundable, all memberships are non-transferrable.
• Admin Fee: An extension admin fee deposit of 50 AED will apply to all 3, 6, and 12 month memberships
• Payment Plan: Installment option available upon request
• Membership Notifications: Members will receive a reminder by email 7 & 3 days before the membership expires and will receive a final notice by email on the day the membership expires
• Re-activation Fee: A 50 AED re-activation fee will automatically apply, if a membership renewal is overdue by more than 7 calendar days.
• Extension Admin Fee: The pre-paid 50 AED admin fee will be consumed once the available extension period is activated. The 50 AED pre-paid admin fee will be carried over to the next membership period if the freeze period was not activated in the previous membership period. 
• Freeze Policy: Members may apply to activate the available extension period by email : phoenixtkdacademy@gmail.com. Freeze request should be done prior to leave else your request will be voided. Freeze periods cannot be applied after a membership has expired. 
• Summer Freeze Policy: A member may apply for summer freeze in the period from July 1st to August 31st only. A 50 AED admin fee will apply for each freeze requested period of summer freeze. 
• Sick Leave Policy: Members may utilize their available freeze period according to their membership. Phoenix Academy is not responsible to compensate members for membership days lost due to sick leave. 
• Make Up Class: A missed class should be made up within a 30 calendar day period within their active membership. 
• Academy Closure: Phoenix Academy reserves the right to cancel classes to accommodate official events. (i.e., belt testing, championships, community events as well as for maintenance) Members will be notified by official email prior to such closures. Missed classes due to Academy closure can be made up during the period on an active membership.Missed classes due to Academy closure cannot be used as an extension to an expired membership. If the Academy should close for more than 7 consecutive calendar days, an automatic extension will be applied to all active memberships upon renewal. In the case of force majeure unforeseeable circumstances of closure (i.e., world-wide crisis or government-imposed closure, all memberships will remain active and membership fees are non-refundable and memberships are non-redeemable.
• Belt Grading Policy: All members must hav an active membership of minimum of 14 calendar days for color belts and 60 days for Jr. Black and Blackbelts at the time of the belt testing. Phoenix reserves the right to withhold any certificate/belt or rank achieved during non-active membership period.
